ARAI prepares for SIAT 2026: World’s Premier Automotive Event, 28-30 January 2026

Pune, 7th July, 2025: The Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), an autonomous body with Ministry of Heavy Industries, Government of India is all set to host its biennial flagship automotive technology event Symposium of International Automotive Technology (SIAT). It is going to be held in PIECC, Pune from 28th to 30th January 2026.

The event that started in 1985 has successfully completed 18 editions and is preparing for the 19th. The event has seen presence of great innovators like former president of India, (late) Dr APJ Kalam, Dr Pawan Goenka and esteemed dignitaries from global automotive fraternity.   

Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI) and Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has always supported the event. The deliberations in plenary sessions and panel discussions lead to formulation of significant inputs required for policy formation. 

The last edition of SIAT in 2024, witnessed presence of more than 2000 Delegates, 211 Presentations from 10 Countries. The event had a dedicated Hydrogen Pavilion, ADAS Demonstration Area aligning with the theme- transformation towards progressive mobility. A technology demonstration area was setup where 330 stalls from India, USA, UK, Japan, Germany, Austria, France, Finland, etc., were visited by more than 7000 direct visitors. To promote Aatmanirbhar Bharat a dedicated pavilion for Small & Medium Companies and Startups was arranged for more than 70 companies.

To continue the legacy of the event and bring together the industry and stakeholders for a sustainable mobility sector, in SIAT 2026 ARAI will set the stage for Innovative Pathways for Safe and Sustainable Mobility. The organization has received an overwhelming response from the research community with more than 2000 abstracts.  

Technical experts will share recent developments in automotive sector from the topics such as E-mobility, Simulation & Modelling, Emission Measurement & Control Technology, Advanced Vehicle Dynamics, Active and Passive Safety, Noise, Vibration & Harshness (NVH), Hydrogen Fuel Cell and Hydrogen I.C. Engine, Testing & Evaluation, Structural Reliability, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), Alternative Fuels, ITS & Regulation, Tyre Technology and Materials & Manufacturing.

The concurrent SIAT Expo 2026, is an ideal platform for global players in the automotive domain to exhibit their products, technologies, innovations, and services through stalls.
