CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY(CSR)
A Committed Corporate Citizen…… CSR at ARAI
As a corporate entity, it is imperative to take up initiatives that show ARAI’s commitment to giving back to society. The CSR activities have been started since 2008 with this aspect in mind. A number of initiatives have been taken up with the active participation of the enthusiastic CSR team SRSG.(Social Responsibility Support Group). ARAI has been able to make a difference in the lives of people. With benefits ranging from tools for the visually impaired to water conservation projects, ARAI has always taken up special causes with as much fervour and enthusiasm as we do with work.
ARAI has supported many social projects in the areas of Environment, Health-care, Community Development and Education. It has provided financial assistance to many projects like:
Support to Old Age Homes
Support to Orphanage
Rainwater Harvesting Projects
Support to Drought-Hit Villages
Treatment for the Cancer Patients
Arranging blood donation camps and provision of equipment thereof
In addition to the above, ARAI is also supporting the villages by building small dams and making villagers understand the importance of rainwater harvesting. Providing electricity through Solar Energy System for schools and adding light into life of students by supporting them with lighting system in many schools. ARAI has lent its support to one of the organizations’ project on personality development of girls from slum area by providing them training in various outdoor games.Awarding schools the apparatus required for their science laboratory. Assistance for procurement of ambulance for mentally challenged girls. The SRSG is working on many other camps like sponsoring artificial limbs for partially disabled for the poor and underprivileged people. Further, ARAI has also supported the major project namely “Solid Waste Management (Sanitary Napkin Disposal)” with one of the NGOs and Pune Municipal Corporation.
